How do I know when to replace the impeller?
When inspecting the pump for the first time, note the condition of the outer tips of the vanes on the impeller and the inside of the impeller where these vanes meet the front and back plates. Keep a record of these conditions so that you have a basis to compare when conducting future inspections. Order a spare impeller once the wear reaches more than 50% of the rubber thickness.
