McLanahan Mineral Systems Division Completes First Australian Wobbler Feeder Sale
The McLanahan Mineral Systems division recently sold two Wobbler Feeders to an Australian minerals processing customer. Even though McLanahan has a long history of supplying Wobbler Feeders for processing a variety of materials worldwide, this is the first time McLanahan Wobbler Feeders will be placed into an Australian mining application.
McLanahan tailored two heavy-duty Wobbler Feeders WF-84-12 for a modular mobile mining unit in Western Australia. The equipment is designed to process 850 TPH nominal with a maximum throughput of 1,000 TPH. The Wobbler Feeders will provide front-end processing of mineral sands, ROM ore rock, sand and clay. They will feed the sized material onto a sizer, while the oversized material will discharge to a refuse pile.
The equipment features variances in bar pitch and openings to suit the customer’s specific site and material conditions. Both Wobbler Feeders are 84 inches (2,130mm) wide, feature a 12-bar multi-combination pitch and are supplied with a hydraulic chain tension take-up mechanism.
The sale was achieved through the dedication and support of the Australian and U.S. engineering teams, and the equipment will be delivered to site later this year.
