McLanahan hosts customer event to showcase Feeder-Breaker Completion
The Solution
McLanahan Australia opened its doors to host a customer event showcasing the completion of two Feeder-Breakers for a Queensland coal customer.
With the completion of two additional Feeder-Breakers in less than 18 months, the customer is now on track to receive these machines before the end of Q3.
The identical Feeder-Breakers were sold to the coal mine by Coal Application Specialist Brad Anstess. The Feeder-Breakers form part of a three-stage crushing system offered by McLanahan for coal processing applications.
While many combinations can be used, this particular customer utilised a Feeder-Breaker/Sizer/Sizer crushing station.
Exceeding 10 m in length and 2.5 m in height, the Feeder-Breakers are capable of receiving a feed size of 1,000 mm with a product size of 250 mm while processing coal at a rate of 715 TPH each Feeder-Breaker feeds into a McLanahan Secondary Sizer for a maximum product size of 125 mm.
Once the coal has been processed through the secondary sizer, it is fed into a McLanahan Tertiary Sizer, where it sized to 50 mm.
The Showcase
After the Feeder-Breakers had been Factory Acceptance Tested (FAT) for the customer, they were put on display for a private customer event to showcase our largest in-house assembly in Australia to date.
Team members Brad Peterkin (Senior Customer Service Specialist), Brad Anstess (Coal Application Specialist) and Chris Knowles (Director of Sales and Marketing) guided customers through the McLanahan workshop, with special emphasis on the McLanahan three-stage crushing system.
On the day, one of the two Feeder-Breakers was in operation to provide customers an insight into their operation.
McLanahan Australia’s largest workshop, spanning 18,000 m2, is built for assembly, quality assurance and FAT, of our equipment line which includes Feeder-Breakers, Rotary Breakers, Rotary Scrubbers and Reclaim Feeders.
