McLanahan Executive Team Completes Ice Bucket Challenge

Hollidaysburg, Pa., Sept. 5, 2014 – Over the past month, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has been sweeping the nation. McLanahan decided it was time to get in on the action and raise money for this great cause, and challenged the company’s executive management team to participate.

The executive management team, which is made up of Sean McLanahan, CEO; George Sidney, President and COO; Ken Kirsch, Executive Vice President – Business Operations; and Jay Nartatez, Executive Vice President – Corporate Shared Services, accepted the challenge, but with one condition. They asked employees at all U.S. locations to raise $400 (that’s $100 per executive) within a week.

Employees at all locations stepped up and surpassed their goal by raising over $800 in just four days! When it came time to film the challenge, Sean McLanahan announced that the company had decided to match the employees’ donation, bringing the total to over $1,600.

See the executive management team’s Ice Bucket Challenge on Facebook, YouTube and the McLanahan website. The company encourages everyone to keep up the efforts in donating to help fight this horrible disease.
