DDC-Sizers

Sizers, specifically McLanahan DDC-Sizers, provide primary, secondary and tertiary reduction of friable, low silica materials such as coal, salt, gypsum, phosphate, limestone, bauxite, petroleum coke, lignite, trona, carbon anodes, oil sands, clay, shale and more.

DDC-Sizers have a direct drive arrangement and low-profile design that allows wheel mounting for a movable configuration. The preferred method of installation is to mount the unit on rails with a non-rigid connection between the feed and discharge chutes. Since the drives are attached to the mainframe of the sizer, the entire unit can be rolled out from the feed stream to facilitate maintenance. McLanahan DDC-Sizers are equipped with hydraulic lift cylinders for ease of wheel activation. This low-profile design also makes them well suited for installations where headroom is limited, such as underground mines. All segments and sizing combs in the DDC-Sizers are designed to be interchangeable throughout the machine.

Unique to McLanahan primary and secondary DDC-Sizers is the hydraulic product size adjustment, which allows producers versatility if the product size requirements change. Tertiary DDC-Sizers offer adjustability through the use of adjustable sizing combs.

Equipment Models

Primary DDC-Sizers

Crushes larger material between the inward rotating rolls to a primary product size while allowing fine feed material to pass through the crushing zone and inter-meshing sizing combs.

Secondary DDC-Sizers

Crushes medium sized material between the inward rotating rolls to a secondary product size while allowing fine feed material to pass through the crushing zone and inter-meshing sizing combs.

Tertiary DDC-Sizers

Crushes secondary sized material between the sizing combs and outward rotating rolls to a tertiary sized product while allowing finer feed material to pass through the crushing zone and between the roll centers.
