Sand Processing

Sand is often mined through open pit excavation or dredging, as well as being generated by crushing stone. After its initial recovery, there are many different ways for sand to be processed including washing, dewatering, classifying and more.

McLanahan offers an extensive line of equipment that can be used for processing various types of sand. With so many equipment options, the decision as to which piece of equipment is best can often be difficult. McLanahan process engineers have years of experience in selecting and designing the right system for each producer’s specific application and size gradations. Sand processing plants can be custom engineered to deal with primary sand products, as well as specialty sands, such as frac sand.
